Case Study

Inspire is a charity and social enterprise operating throughout the island of Ireland. They work together with people living with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addictions to ensure they live with dignity and realise their full potential. Inspire also campaigns to create a society free from stigma and discrimination with a culture of compassion that focuses on people and their abilities.

Alongside Inspire’s broader team of 800 employees and around 360 associate counsellors, 40 volunteers donate their time and skills to deliver the charity’s services and campaigns.

Inspire was using an internal system to manage its volunteering. Managing a wide range of data alongside a mix of paper and electronic volunteer applications was a complicated and time-consuming process. It became increasingly apparent that they needed a user-friendly, time-saving volunteer management solution to mobilise and engage their volunteers. That’s where Be Collective came in.

With Be Collective, Inspire was able to:

  • Manage all volunteer data, events/ opportunities and applications in one place
  • Easily navigate a user-friendly system
  • Save time and effort with a streamlined volunteer management platform
  • Advertise roles and recruit volunteers with ease
  • See the social impact that volunteers make through the contributions of time and skills
  • Celebrate volunteers’ achievements with a Social CV that supports professional and personal development
